The former rectory was built in 1915/16 as a two-storey building from solid quarrystone on a square ground plan. The building was designed by the architect Lehmenkühler from Cologne. The master bricklayer Joseph Dahl from Weiden was responsible for the construction. The house was ready for occupation as early as 1916. Matthias Haselier was the parish priest at the time of construction. The quarry stone material for the building was procured by parishioners.
The upper floor has slate cladding on the side facing Neuensaaler-Straße and also on the opposite side in a kind of attic area. Towards Neuensaaler-Straße, the house has a straight front staircase with solid side stringers and a slate canopy. This was the former main entrance to the house. The front façade facing Wipperführther-Straße is symmetrical, as are the windows. The upper floor of the front façade features slate projections at the corners as transitions to the two slate side surfaces.
Today, the building houses a branch of Volksbank Berg, which is also the owner. The house is largely unchanged, except for the addition of the entrance to the bank's cash room on the parking lot side. Inside the entrance to the bank's cash room there is a sign with additional information. The building has been a listed building since 1987.
