- our club archive

The club archive

Open every 1st Thursday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m

The club archive was officially reopened in January 2023 and has now established itself as a worthwhile contact point for Kürten's local history.

There are in over 700 books and commemorative publications in our archive as well as  older maps and photos of the Kürten area, which are thematically sorted and organized by church village. We ease to find information, if you are looking for specific publications and authors, like Montanus or Günther Paffrath, Maria Helene Freytag, Inge Trott, Marlies Denst and Theo Stockberg. We do have all "Bergischen Kalender". Literary treasures find their way to our archive quite often by bequests.

Just contact us to visit our archives and to get details about our inventory of all books.

By research possible in our club archives, regularly new contributions are possible to be shared in “Kürtener Schriften”.   In addition, an extremely important collaboration with the Kürten community archive, which is located nearby in the town hall, is supported by archivist Ute Ströbel-Dettmer.
